Cozumel Carnaval 2009

The dates for Carnaval 2009 on Cozumel have been confirmed as the week of Feb 18-25, 2009.

There are parades scheduled for Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights, Feb. 21-24.

The parades are scheduled to begin at 6pm and will be along the waterfront street, Ave. Rafael Melgar in the downtown area.

For the last several years I've reserved a spot at Rock N Java cafe for dinner and I watch the parade from there.

There are many dance groups in bright costumes

Floats are imaginative and beautifully decorated
